Welcome to the counseling practice of Mike Borash. I provide individual and marital/relationship therapy for people struggling with relational difficulties.

I practice Imago Relationship Therapy and am very experienced in working with couples, addiction problems and the experience of trauma.

I seek to provide my clients with a safe, confidential space in which to learn, grow and benefit from their investment of time, energy and money.

Mike Borash is a Virginia State Licensed and National Board-Certified Professional Counselor.

In 2023 Mike semi-retired from his full-time practice of counseling and psychotherapy. Currently, Mike

maintains a small virtual practice specializing in marital therapy, assistance with addiction problems and

recovery from trauma including childhood abuse and neglect.

Mike was trained in Imago Relationship Therapy by Harville Hendrix, Ph.D. the creator of Imago. He was certified to present the Getting the Love You Want weekend workshop for couples in 1994 and was invited to join the Imago International Training Institute faculty in 1999. He became a senior faculty member in 2022.

Mike has assisted hundreds of couples in moving from an unconscious to a conscious relationship.
